Last NASA Mid Atlantic race of the season
NASA racers descend upon Summit Point raceway for the last time in 2008 early in November. In order to have an end of the year awards party saturday night, the race schedule was changed and 2 sprints were run on the first day of the weekend. This amended schedule provided no practice and thunder was first on track for qualifying at 0800. Many of the CMC drivers followed Lydic's lead and parked on grid the night before. Renntag Racing driver, Colin Jevens wanted to wait to see if it was going to be a wet session and kept his car in his paddock area.
Renntag Racing Hangs with Randy Pobst at VIR.
Another stellar event at VIR. With pro drivers, great weather, and a great attitude in the paddock, we had a great time at the track.
Audi club had VIR for the weekend and TrackDaze was coming in for two days Monday Tuesday. It was a brisk November event at one of our favorite tracks. Matt and Julia headed down early to play with Audi club. Colin was at Summit Point for 3 days with Volvo, EMRA, and BSR and arrived just in time for a memorial party held in honor of Cale Kastanek.
Octoberfast was fastastic !
The NASA Octoberfast proved to be yet another fantastic weekend for the Renntag Racing Team.
Jon Dawes was able to get a spot in Comp Eval as he makes his final approach toward wheel to wheel competition.
Many interesting close calls like this one as seen from Frank Corkran. Nice driving Frank.
August brings more success to the team
August at Summit Point raceway was another successful weekend for Renntag Racing. Matt made it through comp eval garnering his comp license and Jon and Brian battled it out in group 3 honing their skills. Jon is now chomping at the bit to go through comp eval and join the CMC ranks.
Congrats to Matt! We expect to see more great driving in the future.
Renntag Racing gets its first CMC win at VIR in July !
NASA descends upon VIR at the end of July every year for "The Heat Wave". A great weekend with all groups filled. The CMC paddock had all the regulars as well as the reappearance of the infamous #72 Mustang of Dan Skitrall. Our very own Matt Deming purchased the #72 from Mike Maheau, making him the third owner of this 86 GT. Matt wanted to guarantee his journey to comp school while he builds his GTS Porsche.
